Perth is known by many as the most isolated capital in the world, famous for its crystal-clear oceans, quokkas and Heath Ledger. The island on an island isn’t short on scenic spots for brunch, here are a few of our favourites to add to your dining bucket list.

Bib & Tucker

Perched on the picturesque Leighton Beach, above the Fremantle Surf Lifesaving Club is Bib & Tucker. Pop in for brunch after a morning dip and enjoy the sunshine on the outdoor deck. The menu is an echo of seasonal, local and sustainably grown fresh ingredients and the drinks are sure to have you talking. With offerings of buttermilk pancakes, Mexican baked eggs, Japanese sweetcorn fritters, avocado toast, and eggs and bacon benedict, there are loads to choose from for all dietary requirements.

Matilda Bay Restaurant

Located on the edge of Matilda Bay in Crawley, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the city skyline and soothed by the sounds of the Swan at Matilda Bay Restaurant. Brunch at the Bay boasts a sophisticated menu inspired by the sea – think prawn cutlets with tomato salsa, fish tacos with grilled corn, pico de gallo and avocado and grilled snapper with farro grains and beurre blanc. If you prefer the traditional brunch of poached eggs and smashed avo, don’t worry, they do that too! You can also opt to make it bottomless; two hours of bottomless Prosecco, Mimosa and Bloody Marys is $35 per person and two hours of bottomless champagne is $65 per person.

Island Market

We’re partial to a coastal view – especially when it’s panoramic over Trigg Beach – and we know you are too. The coastline of soft snowy sand  and aqua waters is known as one of Perth’s most popular surfing beaches, popular with locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re down for a croissant, fig and fennel toast, waffles with raspberries and berry curd, a smoked salmon omelette or the iconic Island breakfast, there’s something sure to tickle your fancy at Island Market. And while you’re at it, why not pair bunch with a morning cocktail? The Cheeky Bellini, Bubbly Colada or Queen Mary will give your morning ritual that extra sparkle you’re looking for.
